	Variatie	Single Malt Whisky
	Aroma	Cool with clear mineral notes and some menthol, beechwood smoke meets juniper and a rustic farmhouse flavour. This is followed by sweet hay, straw flowers and vanilla with some white chocolate and iodine flavours as well as citrus.
	Proef	Sweetish with malt and honey, surrounded by spicy peat smoke. Phenolic facets meet salty accents, camphor and autumn leaf aromas. Towards the end, cookie dough with caramel, pepper and vanilla take over with spicy hints.
	Uitgang	Medium length, dry and with a gentle smoke of pipe tobacco before citrus notes, wood and a hint of ash finish.

The 17-year-old Ardmore matured in an ex-Laphroaig cask, which gave it additional exciting smoky notes. The smoky Highland flavour experience was bottled by independent bottler The Cask Hound from Germany for the Peatwave series, whose name alone reveals that this collection is all about smoky whiskies that offer a distinct smoky profile as well as variously pronounced and balanced facets. Located in the idyllic village of Kennethmont in the Scottish Highlands, Ardmore was founded in 1898 by Adam Teacher and there are only a few original bottlings of Ardmore, which makes the Single Malts from independent bottlers all the more desirable. Tilo Schnabel selected the cask and bottled it at natural cask strength with 53.8% vol.

Aroma: Kühl mit deutlichen Mineralnoten und etwas Menthol, Buchenholzrauch trifft auf Wacholder und rustikalen Bauernhofflair. Es folgen süßes Heu, Strohblumen und Vanille mit etwas weißer Schokolade und Jodaromen sowie Zitrus.

Geschmack: Süßlich mit Malz und Honig, ummanetl von würzigem Torfrauch. Phenolische Facetten treffen auf salzige Akzente, Kampfer und Herbstlaubaromen. Zum Ende hin übernehmen Cookie-Dough mit Karamell, Pfeffer und Vanille mit würzigen Anklängen.

Abgang: Mittellang, trocken und mit sanftem Rauch von Pfeifentabak ehe Zitrusnoten, Holz ind ein Hauch Asche ausklingen.
